I am pleased to inform you that bookings are now open for the launch event on for a Peer Leaders Network for the South West Integrated Personal Commissioning Programme (IPC). The event will enable you to find out more about the IPC programme and the opportunities for people that may be interested in becoming a Peer Leader. Please do share this with anyone who may be interested. More details are below and attached.
What is IPC?
The following blog provides a reflection on ‘What is IPC?’ now we are a year into the programme, including a video update from Frances Tippett, SWIPC Programme Director outlining the key principles and benefits of our regional approach:
What is a Peer Leader?
ü Ideally people who have direct experience of personal health budgets or integrated personal budgets either as an individual who has (or has had) one or as a family carer.
ü People who may be interested in influencing developments and implementation and a local and regional (and potentially national) level
ü People who recognises the importance of developing new models of care directly with people and communities
ü Someone who is passionate about improving personalised care for others
ü Someone who is able to see the bigger picture as well as the local picture
What is the Peer Leaders Network?
The briefing provides a short summary of what we would like to achieve with the IPC Peer Leaders network and how your involvement can really help us to transform the lives of people with long term conditions across the South West.
